Director Biographies
Ruth Chappell
Ruth Chappell primarily works for a global educational publisher, managing and delivering complex software projects. Ruth also owns her own business providing project management and technical consultancy. Ruth currently competes her horse at unaffiliated level, winning a recent Elementary competition and qualifying for a championship show. Ruth provides an in depth knowledge of project management from conception to benefits realisation, through PRINCE2 Practitioner accreditation and the technical ability and links to develop and support a website of this nature.
Lucinda Freeman
Lucinda Freeman has a background in marketing and has worked for both client organisations and agencies. She is a member of the Institute of Direct Marketers and an associate member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing. Lucinda was formerly Show Secretary at Wellington Riding, a busy competition centre in the South of England, where she was responsible for a variety of competitions both affiliated and unaffiliated up to Premier League, growing both the number and quality of competitions at Wellington. Lucinda is a member of British Dressage and competes her Andalusian gelding Lindo at Novice level. Lucinda is well acquainted with the requirements of running competitions both from the competitors and organiser’s point of view.
Nereide Goodman
Nereide Goodman is a British Dressage List 1 judge; the highest national category. She is also a trainer and rider. Nereide started her equestrian career as a show jumper, moved to eventing but did not like the dressage phase. However she soon realised that if she obtained a good dressage score she did not have to go so fast cross country so the seed was sown! In the past she trained and successfully competed many horses starting with three year olds and bringing them on to advanced level. One of her pupils is now on the World Class Programme competing internationally at Grand Prix. Nereide and her husband John started and ran the internationally renowned Wellington Riding equestrian centre for nearly thirty years. Wellington Riding introduced the first dressage to music championship in this country. Nereide has always been interested in training riders of all levels and takes particular pleasure in helping the horse achieve a good understanding with the rider.
