Uploading video
To upload a video follow these simple instructions:
- Uploading your test video at a later date?

- Connect your video camera to your computer using the cables and software provided with you video equipment.

- Download your video to your computer.

- Make sure you've entered and paid for a test entry, then go to your My Dressage Anywhere page.
- Check your video does not exceed 500MB. If it does it won't be accepted for upload to Dressage Anywhere and you will need to reduce the size.

- Select the Upload Video button against the correct entry and follow the on-screen instructions. What format?
- Your video may take some time to upload and is dependent on your internet connection and speed. Ensure you don't close the browser window whilst the video upload is in progress.
- You will receive notification once your video has finished uploading.
Uploading your test video at a later date?
- You can enter a class and upload your video another day. Simply login to the website and go to your My Dressage Anywhere page. Details of your entry will be available here. Click the ‘Go to upload’ button and follow the instructions to upload your video. Just make sure you upload your test before 23:59 hrs on the closing date.
How to connect your video camera to your computer
- If your video equipment records video onto an SD memory card, simply remove it and insert into the memory card reader of your computer.
- For a mini-DV camcorder, you can connect to a Firewire port, often labelled DV. Your computer will need a Firewire port and cable.
- For DVD or hard drive video equipment you can connect via USB 2.0 socket. Your video equipment should have been supplied with a USB cable for this purpose.
How to download your video to your computer
- Connect the video equipment and computer using one of the methods outlined above.
- You may have software supplied with your video equipment which starts automatically and allows you to choose video clips to save to your computer.
- Otherwise, navigate to the relevant drive on your computer which represents the video equipment and copy the video to your hard drive.
To reduce your video file size
- If your video exceeds 500MB you will need to compress it to reduce the file size.
- You can do this with video editing software, such as Microsoft Movie Maker (on Windows) or iMovie (on Macintosh).
