We are thrilled to announce our most significant and exciting competition restructure yet, designed to simplify qualification, reward consistency and make the competition year more engaging for every rider.

Here are the key changes you need to know for 2026.

1. 🏅 New Schedule: Condensed Qualification & A Championship Focus

We've listened to your feedback! The competition year has been optimised for better pacing and preparation.

Shorter Qualification Windows: Our four major championships (British Dressage Online, Veteran Horse, Freestyle To Music and Ex-Racehorse) now feature condensed qualification periods (1 January to 31 August). This means less pressure and more time to focus on your riding goals.

The October Finals Festival: All four major Championship Finals will now take place in October, creating a concentrated and exciting 'Finals Festival' where the year's winners are crowned!

2. 🎯 Rider League Scoring Gets Simpler

The Dressage Anywhere Rider League will be open to all participants (excluding Friesian Horses) has a powerful new way to score:

No More Placing Points: We are moving away from points based on class placings.

Percentage-Based Rewards: Rider League points are now awarded based purely on the percentage score you achieve. This system rewards every strong performance equally, whether you are in a small or large class, making the league fairer and more rewarding for consistency.

Example: Achieving 64.00% automatically earns you 3 points, regardless of where you place!

3. 🔗 Changes to our Schedules

We've tidied up the website! Find all the updated information starting today on the Schedule and our Competition pages. We've separated the Senior and Junior classes to make them easier to find.
