At Dressage Anywhere, we believe that finding the perfect rhythm with your horse deserves more than just a scoresheet. It deserves a place in the spotlight!

The Freestyle to Music Championship is designed to reward the long game - tracking your consistency and creativity across the season. Previously run as a league, we have transformed this into a Championship for 2026. It isn't about one lucky test; it's about the grit it takes to nail your choreography, month after month and improve your personal best.

How it Works (The Short Version)

This series is for those who love to add a soundtrack to their schooling. If you're already dancing through our monthly music classes, you're already on your way to the final.

  • Who is eligible? Any horse and rider combination.

  • Which classes count? Monthly Freestyle to Music Competition classes (Introductory to Advanced Medium).

  • The Goal: Achieve two scores of 63% or above at a single level.

  • The Timeline: Qualification runs from 1 January to 31 August.

  • The Championship: The Championship final will run online in October, with the schedule available to enter in September.

The Qualification Path: Consistency is Key

To make things crystal clear and consistent, we have moved away from the old league points table. Now, you are aiming for two solid performances. Once you achieve your two qualifying scores of 63% or above at your chosen level, you've earned your place in the October final.

Combinations who have achieved their qualifying scores will be notified online over the summer.

Why Join In the Fun?

Aside from the thrill of performing your floorplan, the Championship is about the 'prestige' of being a top-ranked music competitor. Set goals for the season - perhaps this month is about perfecting the timing, and by the summer, you're looking to secure that second qualifying score to punch your ticket to the final!

Tips for Success

  • Check the Rules: Ensure you are familiar with the standard Dressage Anywhere Rules to keep your entries valid.

  • Review Your Scoresheets: Don't throw away those marks; review the judge's feedback specifically on your floorplan and music choice to help boost your percentages.

  • Don't Forget the Deadline: Qualification closes on 31 August. Make sure you have your two scores recorded before the music stops!
