Have you got an ex-racehorse ready for the final? Here's everything you need to know about the Ex-Racehorse Championship 2026.

Qualification

Any ex-racehorse and rider combination is eligible. Qualifying scores come from our Monthly Ex-Racehorse Competition classes, Introductory to Medium. You'll need three scores of 60% or above at the same level, achieved between 1 January and 30 September 2026.

Key dates

Qualifying scores must be completed by 30 September. The Championship show runs online in October, with the schedule opening for entries this month. We'll notify qualifying combinations directly, so there's no need to register your qualification yourself.

Prizes

Rosettes will be awarded to 1st-6th place in every class PLUS 1st place wins a saddle cloth; 2nd and 3rd will win some goodies.
